Is The Double Bella a Mini-Lodge or a Family Home?
When we consider the 2340’ Square Feet (217.4 M² ) of The Double Bella as a family home with 4 Bedrooms, 4 full Bathrooms and 2 half Baths, we have to ask ourselves this question: Are we supplying enough hardships for our children to overcome so they have stories to tell their children when they grow older? Growing up in South Florida, I was deprived of the “walking 5 miles to school in the 5’ feet of snow stories”, so I had to fall back of the “had to share the bathroom with all my siblings” hardship story. I know that you’ve heard that one too. So we’ve designed a magnificent villa with huge bedrooms, private bathrooms for each and a couple of half-baths for good measure. What have we done? Hopefully, not spoiled the kids!
Back to the task at hand, we were raving about the attributes of The Double Bella, which only differs from The Bella Vista by the addition of interior and exterior stairways, a complete walkout lower floor plan and the fact that The Double Bella now has over 2254’ Square Feet (209.4 M² ) of total decks. Come on, that’s bigger than most houses!!!
Sure seems like a Mini-Lodge to me.
When entering The Double Bella from the upper floor’s 910’ Square Feet (84.5 M²) of covered decks, you can’t possibly help but to be amazed by the enormity of the decks and the beauty of the glass walls and sliders. Just peering through any of the three sides of glass into the open floor plan, you realize that there is nothing missing from your view, whether inside or out on the deck. Nothing is obstructing the magnificent view!
We’ve even included glass guide walls along the upper interior staircase so that the view is never compromised.
From the midst of the elegant living and dining room, you feel like the captain behind the wheel of a luxury yacht in total control as the entire horizon is seemingly before you. Imagine that glorious sensation, even while you’re in the spacious, wide-open kitchen. Same View!
Towards the back of the living and dining room area on the upper floor you’ll find a “galley style” eat in kitchen that can facilitate over 6 guests comfortably at the 14’ feet (4.2 M) linear island counter that allows you to enjoy the view and interaction with your guests while prepping your meals or doing the dishes.
Behind you is another 14’ linear feet (4.2M) of kitchen cabinets, including an enormous pantry complete with full extension drawers, complete upper and lower cabinets with still plenty of room for your cooktop, oven, and refrigerator.
With 28’ linear feet (8.4 M) of granite kitchen countertops and artisan wood cabinets, you’ll be in the “dream kitchen” of every culinary artist.
To the left of the kitchen, you’ll find the washer and dryer closet. On the right side of the kitchen area, you’ll find that convenient powder room for your guests. Behind the kitchen area, you’ll find a door on each side leading to the bedrooms…
Both of the large 144’ Square Feet (13.3 M²) master bedrooms are totally isolated and private from the rest of the home, each with their own private entrance. Each bedroom is complete with full en suite bathrooms, large clothes closets. This means each of the bedrooms has plenty of room for a king bedroom suite, nightstands, dressers, chairs, luggage racks and much more. One of the bedrooms also has an extra storage closet for vacuum, brooms and other household necessities in one of the bedrooms.
Both en suite bathrooms contain a walk-in shower, comfort height toilet, linen closet and a five-foot vanity with a granite countertop and under-mounted sink.
When we mirrored the lower floor, we included two en suite bedrooms, a wet bar/mini-kitchen, an enormous family room with a three-sided walkout surrounded by two sides of glass walls and a monster 1344’ Square Feet (124.8 M² ) of lower decks.
As we have previously mentioned, we matched the two 144’ Square Feet (13.3 M²) lower master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms designed to mirror the upper floor, and added walkout sliding glass doors to the deck in each bedroom. Yes, they also have the same great-sized closets as the bedrooms upstairs.
We also reduced the kitchen footprint to a kitchenette and by doing that we’ve provided The Double Bella an enormous family room that makes for an incredible TV/entertainment room, playroom or just a great place to host your guests. With two sides of complete glass walls with sliders and the third side stairway wall making a great home for an LED fireplace with your big screen TV over it, who’s going anywhere else?
The lower level also includes two very generous closets, one accessed through one of the bedrooms for an additional washer and dryer, if you so choose, with enough additional room for games, airbeds, sheets for the foldout sofas and or sleeping bags (you do know you’ll be hosting and entertaining many friends, don’t you)?
The other storage closet is accessible from outside on the deck, making it a great place to store bicycles, deck furniture, BBQ grills or maybe even some water toys.
